Happy New Year!
Over the holidays I spent lots of time with my family eating, reading, talking laughing. We took a very quick trip south to spend time with our kids, it was good and I am thankful for all my blessings.
At the end of 2015 I had a small cluster of shows here in Canada. We were able to shine a light on the Boys and Girls Clubs in the different cities we played. Bits and pieces of money were raised through T shirt sales and CDs.
The Because of Billie CD is still available with t-shirts so please head to your nearest local music supplier or online at iTunes or Amazon and support.
This month the #BellLetsTalk Day is back on January 27th. One in five Canadians suffer from Mental Illness. Look out for it on social media and let’s keep the conversation going to end the stigma around mental health and wellness.
For the next few months I plan to read a ton of books and write a ton of songs and hang with some very good songwriters, as I get ready for a new record this Spring! You may see me riding the streetcars and subways of Toronto. That’s where I find great stories for songs, just eavesdropping and listening in on the city.
I’m not one for sharing any New Year’s resolutions. I feel that if I speak of them I will jinx them. Just know I’m working on a few items in my life, a bit of a tidy up!
I hope 2016 will be everything you want it to be.
