Molly is very excited to be heading off to some exciting venues in November!
As part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, she will be performing on Monday, November 16th at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
Opening in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall has had many famous faces grace its stage. Since its opening it has been used as a multi-purpose space with events from sci-fi conventions and bodybuilding competitions to film screenings and charity meetings. Since 1941, it has been home to the BBC Proms “the world’s greatest classical music festival”. In 1952, jazz became part of the programming with performances from Sarah Vaughan, Teddy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, and Billie Holiday. With the 60’s came the great pop, rock and folk acts including, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. It has also seen great leaders with visits from Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama.
Molly is thrilled to be performing on this distinguished stage on November 16th as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, considered “the capital’s biggest pan-city music festival, which has long been acclaimed for showcasing a heady mix of talent from around the world. Widely acknowledged for delivering world-class artists and emerging stars, the Festival continues to take jazz to a massive audience, in one of UK’s landmark music events”.
