Molly Johnson and the Kensington Market Jazz Festival Featured in NOW Toronto
NOW Toronto has published a feature on the 11th annual Kensington Market Jazz Festival, which took place September 18 to 20, 2026. The piece looks at how the festival came together this year, with more than 100 Canadian musicians performing in over 100 shows across 10 venues, from streets and patios to intimate rooms throughout the neighbourhood.
The feature also explores the guiding principle behind the festival since Molly founded it in 2016: Better, Not Bigger. It is a festival built on closeness, where audiences wander the Market, move between venues and discover someone new along the way.
